Caffeine Hit: Girdlers
Girdlers is a spot I frequent on Dee Why beachfront, which is part of Sydney's Northern Beaches. An awesome spot to watch the ocean waves, the surfers, and the sunrise. I go alone with a book or my laptop, get a takeaway to walk along the beachfront (use your KeepCup! or go topless!), or gather with friends to enjoy the coffee, crepes, brunch, and lunch menu. In summer it was a regular spot for a smoothie or a bowl of CocoWhip topped with honeycomb, raspberries, and Goodtella. In the winter months, I like to cosy down by their heaters with a hot chai, hot chocolate, coffee, or tea (roobios is a personal favourite).
My top picks from the food menu are the Holy Avo (avocado, kale florets, halloumi, poached egg, and housemade green sauce on your choice of bread), or the Goodness Bowl (saurkraut, kale, boiled egg, quinoa, halloumi, avocado, and that green sauce again). I also like a bowl of their Honest Granola, photographed below, filled with all those good seeds and nuts, berries, and honey, topped off with CocoWhip.

Unfortunately, for now, they've closed their nights. But they're hoping to host them again in the summer, along with other exciting projects in the works.
